Lemon Blueberry Cake >> Breakfast Recipes

"No fake lemon here!"  I thought as I grated and juiced the lemon...
My mouth had been watering ever since I had seen a recipe for lemon blueberry cake.
"Use the sour milk",my mother had told me, so I went on a search to find the perfect blend of blueberry, lemon and sour milk.

I found it in this recipe.

It was a perfect, moist, melt-in-your-mouth breakfast cake.
And I was NOT going to wait for breakfast to eat it!

I, of course, had to take pictures along the way, because that's just what I do!
So then I grabbed my trusty computer, put the pictures on, and promptly forgot about them.

I remembered this morning that I had never told you all about this amazing recipe, so as soon as our internet started working again, I decided to share it with you!

Let me know what you think it!

XOXO,
Anna Rose

Abigail Rose >> Portraits

We share the same birthday
the same middle name
and quite a few other things...
...and last week Abigail and I got to the same camp and we were joyously reunited.

This story began many years ago. I was probably around four when I met her and She had probably just been born. Apparently, we were both too young to remember this momentous occasion. :)

We never really talked - I moved elsewhere, and she was 4 years younger than me.
But a few months ago something happened.
We started talking.
Pretty soon, I invited her to Delight, a group of teenage girls who are pursuing
Jesus and the creative arts, and we started regularly exchanging Facebook messages.
As a singer/songwriter, she fit right with all the other Delight girls.

Then one day, she said "Hey, can you Skype?"
Somewhere in that two hour conversation I said "Hey, you should come to camp!"

Then a few weeks before camp she messaged me and said "I can come!"

Oh...She also plays the Ukelele!
I might have commandeered it a few times...

Boy, was it fun!

I was swooning, just ask Abby... the light was so amazing!

We had to break our photoshoot up in two parts due to 2 things...

Horseflies and the dinner bell.
Enough said.

Isn't she the cutest?

I'm not really sure if she was singing
or if she was very exuberantly waving away horsefly...

But I'm going to imagine that she was singing the Sound of Music.
*The hills are alliiivvee!*

And that, my friends, is Abigail.

Abigail, I had so much fun with you...screaming over horseflies, singing together... Thanks for teaching me some ukulele, I loved every minute of it.
I can't wait to get to know you more! Here's to many more Skype dates and photoshoots!

XOXO.

Luke and Ashley >> Clayton Wedding

I had been looking forward to this wedding ever since Jessica of Jessica Lauren Photography asked me to second shoot with her.

The weather was just perfect, not too hot and not too cold.
This was the day so many people had been waiting for, myself included.
Luke and Ashley were finally getting married!

It was so sweet watching them interact with one another.
All Ashley wanted was to see her man...

...and all Luke wanted was to be told that he could turn around and see his bride.

Aren't they just the cutest?!

There might have been just a little bit of tearing going on here by the photographer...

just maybe.

Thanks to Jessica Lauren Photography for allowing me to second shoot this wedding with you.
It was absolutely amazing!

XOXO,
Anna Rose
