As some of you may have discovered, I briefly disappeared off the blogging sphere. The reason behind this has a very simple answer. I have been in Pennsylvania for the last month...without my computer.

 

Although I didn't have my computer, I did have my camera. Not that I would leave to visit my niece and brand new nephew without it... :)

 

The day after I got there, I did a photo-shoot of my sister's little family. It was agreed that we needed to do a shoot before the baby was born.

 

 

The very next day Josiah Paul was born, making me an auntie again!

 



 

The Little Miss just loves her new 'bebe buver'

 

 I took plenty of baby pictures!

 

Whenever I have the chance, I like to practice ring photography for when I am a wedding photographer. So I borrowed my sister's ring and took some shots.

When I left home, the leaves had just finished falling. When I arrived, their leaves were still falling, so I took even more fall pictures.

 

 

While we were there, the little Miss had her second birthday. We had so much fun with her and she loved her 'happy birthday cakes' which is what she calls cupcakes.

 

 

The last two days I was there we decorate for Christmas. The Little Miss loved the 'pitty lights'

and had so much fun putting decorations on the tree.

 

We also dressed her up in a pretty Christmas dress. Every girl needs a pretty Christmas dress or two!

 

Flying out was hard because I was leaving behind my little buddies.

God gave me something to get my mind off of that though - I met a cinematographer on the plane so that kept me occupied -  playing with his camera and talking to him about photo stuff.

 

I made new friends, learned new things, and made wonderful memories.

Memories that I will cherish for a long, long time.

I'm thankful for

 

Apple Pie, being an Auntie and airplane rides .

My Bible, my bedroom, brothers and the black keys on a piano.

 Chocolate, cards in the mail, caramel Mochas and coffee.

Dangly earrings, daffodils and my Daddy.

Eleven (by the time I publish this twelve) family members that God has blessed me with.

My family, My friends and funny memories. My favorite flannel shirt

 I'm thankful for

God's daily sufficient grace and green grass in-between my toes

My Daddy's Hand holding mine.

My Indescribable, Infallible, Awesome God.

My favorite pair of jeans

Goodnight kisses

Little boy and little girl snuggles with Auntie.

I'm thankful for

My Mama and the memories we have.

For God's new every morning mercy.

The ocean, October and old letters.

For photography, pockets, pianos and possibilities.

Quaint little cabins with little front porches.

Road trips and rainy days spent inside.

I'm thankful for suitcases full of clothes, because that mean's I'm going on an adventure.

Yesterday, Today, Forever Jesus is the same.

For days when something unusually special happens.

Family Vacations and valentines.

Waterfalls and white keys on a piano.

EXtra good days.

For Yellow tulips, yellow leaves, and the happiest color, Yellow.

Zucchini Chocolate Cake, because that's the bestest way to eat Zucchini.

Now I challenge you. Go grab a piece of paper and write out 26 things that you are thankful for. The first one beginning with 'A' and continuing until you finish with 'Z'

I love looking out the window and seeing the pure white snow on the ground

while big, fluffy snowflakes dance their way to the ground.

It was an early morning when Dakota and I headed out to take some pictures of each other.

Our misty morning shoot was finally happening.

Earlier that week we were on the phone talking about what days worked and what time of day we should meet up. Then Dakota said it:

 

"What if we did our shoot in the morning? We've had a lot of mist recently, that could be cool!"

 

As soon as she the words were out of her mouth my mind was shouting "Yes, YES! YES!!"

 

That is why  at eight in the morning, Dakota and I were standing in a little grove of trees, shivering and taking pictures of one another.

Even though, at times, it was hard to work our camera dials because our hands were so cold, every minute was worth it.

Especially that 5 minuet segment when we realized we were looking at a raccoon, trying to sleep in the tree directly above our heads.

 

 

 

There's our little friend! We named him Thor. :)

 



 

Dakota, I hope you love these! You will forever be my photographer buddy. I love how our phone conversations start out with just a quick little "I wanted to tell you..." and turn into what could be never ending conversations. Thanks for laughing with me and making new memories. Even though we are both seniors now *sniff* I remember our first photo-shoot together - just a few months after we had met and only a few weeks after we had gotten our cameras. 3 years goes by so quickly. 

Thanks for all the good times, buddy!

Savannah is a very special girl.

She has the most charming personality and is so sweet. She also has the bluest eyes I have ever seen! Ice blue doesn't even come close to describing them!

Right now she is working on making her first album and boy, can she sing! I'll let you know as soon as it comes out!

She had quite a few ideas of what she wanted for her album cover and I gladly obliged.

 

In so many of these shots she was posing herself. She's like a natural model.

 

But I'll let you look for yourself and see how awesome she is!

You are beautiful on the outside, Savvy, but even more beautiful on the inside. Even though it took us months to find a date that worked, I'm glad we finally made room in our schedules, because it was just perfect.
